Nice video James, short and to the point the way I like em.

I’m beginning to use video myself and as you point out it isn’t difficult – just practice practice practice and you can produce some surprising results.

    Keep the good stuff coming,

    Thanks, Grumpy Bill

    Hey James,

Great video! You are so right about eBooks being “so last year.” Video is the future of IM.

My question. Whats the best way to sell your first product as a WSO and what products sell best as WSO’s.

Thanks James and have a great day!

      Hey Ian,

Thanks for your comment, and also for your kind words! :-)

To answer your question, the “best way” to sell your first product is to just do it! There’s too much to go over in this little comment box as it can be a complex process, but I definitely recommend using WSO Pro, as it can easily quadruple your sales (or more!). If you want to find out more about launching WSOs, this WSO of my own will show you everything which I personally use to launch mine.

Also, the products which sell best as WSOs are usually ones which show methods for fast cash (within 24 or 48 hours), or some kind of “shortcut” to make things easier, i.e. software or a new “shortcut” method.

      I hope I’ve helped! :-)

    James,

Once again, a great video! I recently watched a video that you created discussing the basics of SEO. It is true that it is difficult to learn from metatags to social bookmarketing to pinging…the list goes on and on. This is my greatest challenge. I have software to help with the SEO process, but it is too technical for me to understand even with the tutorial. I purchased it because it was supposed to have been created with the beginner in mind, but many things are not explained, as it is assumed that the customer already knows the material.

Another challenge is keyword research. I have used market samurai for this and using this it seems that in the internet marketing niche(how to get started online), it is difficult to find short or long tail keywords.

What do you suggest for overcoming these challenges?

      Hey Nancy,

      Thanks for your kind words!

For your problems regarding things being too technical, I recommend just doing a quick Google search about anything you don’t understand, as there is a lot of terminology which gets thrown around the web (presuming that you understand everything already!) – most of which is explained very well from the websites listed in a quick Google search.

Also, yeah – the Internet Marketing niche is incredibly competitive with regards to SEO, so I recommend staying away from that until you fully understand what you’re doing, and concentrate on other methods of traffic generation.

      I hope I’ve helped! :-)

Thanks very much James for the great info.Video is certainly the way I intend to go with my IM business and I certainly appreciate your tips. Can you tell me what’s the ideal length for an instructional video. Is there a recommended length after which you risk losing the attention of your audience. Thanks again.

      Hey Bob,

In all honesty, there is no “ideal length” for a video tutorial…

Just say what you have to say, don’t drag it out for too long, and respect people’s time. That’s it, really.

If you’re still looking for a definitive answer, I’d say the most “ideal” times are anywhere between 3 minutes and 15 minutes for a free video, and anywhere between 10 minutes and 60 minutes long per video in your paid products.

Although, don’t just “fluff” videos up and drag them out for ages, just for the sake of them playing for longer (as people will dislike you for it!). Instead, just give as much value as possible to people.

So as said previously, just say what you have to say, and respect people’s time :-)

    Thanks James,

I look forward to getting my LogicTech headset as you recommend, because my first few recordings have sounded awful. Gotta start somewhere though :)

    Hey James,

You can have a free version called Jing which is a liter version of camtasia. It is brought to you by the same company.

The only draw back is that you can only record a 5min vid. But hey there’s nothing stopping you making 4 or 5, 5 min vid’s. And you can have it hosted on their server! BONUS Also most people want to know everything now and not a drawn out video of 60 – 90min.

I have a flip HD camera. They are great! Also for a fully featured free screen capture is Camstudio. Something for the marketer who does not have a lot of money to invest in just quite yet.

    Cheers

    Craig
